Perhaps I can clarify.
Following it's ultra famous S12 coupe, Nissan was at a standstill for body design. Polling suggested on a 50/50 scale that some liked the coupe version of the S12, while others favored Hatchback-like designs found in the 240Z and the Late Model 300ZX.
Seeking to compromise, Nissan came out with 3 Primary designs for release in the late 80's in a bid to appeal to everyone in their fan base.
The RPS13 180SX

The PS13 Silvia

And the PS13 Sil80, which consisted of an RPS13 front end with the flip up lights, but the back end of an S13, for those who wanted Flip up lights, but the ability to keep things from view.

Each Respectably came out with three different levels of trim, the Base Model, The S, and their SE, which was their top cut. The PS13 Never found a market in the Americas because It wasn't allowed to be sold under the name 240sx. Since the coupe was already occupied by the Sil80, Nissan opted out and left the S13 off the box. Since then, it's become a favorite front end conversion for many 240SX enthusiasts.
